Sunshine - Watercolor on Paper

Made this quick watercolor (9x12") on the 13th and yesterday (14th). I was trying to make a succulent (agave/maybe even artichoke almost), with a limited palette: English yellow for the background and a recycled mixture of Cerulean Blue, Hooker's Green, and Ultramarine Blue (Roughly 3:2:1 in ratio). I just like that color, as the cerulean sinks because the cobalt is so heavy, while the green floats above. I also have a bad habit of working too close to the top, so I just decided to make it upside down! #myart #art #watercolor #painting #succulent #leaves #plant #nature
